Having played in the movie “Runaway Bride” with Julia Roberts, who is the runaway bride, Richard Gere found himself a runaway actor from Sarajevo while filming for the next movie “Spring Break in Bosnia.”Ã‚ The movie is about two reporters trying to catch Radovan Karadzic, former president of Republic of Serbia and a war crime criminal wanted by the UN.

I’m not sure what made Gere and his film crew left Bosnia after just 10 days. It’s said that he was too scared. But too scared of what?? Perhaps, he’s a high-profile and working on a controversial project. He’s making a movie portraying Radovan Karadzic as a bad guy in a city only miles away from the border of Republic of Serbia or Republika Sprska where Radovan Karadzic is considered a hero. In fact, his radical political party is popular over there.

I might have nothing to worry about being in Sarajevo, but can’t say the same for Richard Gere.

My theory is that the guys who own the cevapi places put out a contract on him because they had to be closed while Gere was filming there, he’s a practicing Buddhist and a vegetarian, total vegetarian and threw up at the smell of all foods ‘na zaru’

This is a really interesting theory. But do you think it’s worth it to go after someone that high-profiled just because he doesn’t like to eat meat? I thought that the filming might actually promote their businesses, giving them free advertising. And if they have to close, should they get compensation from the film makers as these guys have tons of money.

The man (Richard Gere) didn’t run from Sarajevo ,it was stated in an article before shooting even started that they would only be shooting there for 10 days!! PLEASE get your fax straight before writng a bunch a crap about it. So , what if he is a vegetarian and gets sick just from the smell of the food they were fixing. I’m sure they were well taken care for shutting down there businesses. These articles are a bunch of bull!

Thanks for the correction. Getting the fact straight these days is a challenge given the overwhelming information online these days. And i’m not writing as a professional journalist affiliated with any major publisher. My mistakes (if there is any) are the norm in blogging business. If someboody correct me, i’ll edit and cite their comments.
