The music is kinda funny and interesting.

The band performed last Friday, Feb. 16th in Prague.

Ahmed má hlad was founded in 1997 when four friends, students of Slavic philology at the Charles University in Prague gathered to play (bass guitar, two el. guitars and a vocal) a couple of popular tunes from the regions they liked and culture of which they´d been studying - Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

In 2001 the first official “child” of Ahmed ma hlad was born, named “Salam a Lajka”. The CD contains 15 songs from as south as Macedonia up to as north as Russia.
In the following years the band has appeared at many festivals and concerts (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania), appeared on TV (Czech Republic, Latvia, Romania).
