There is a very nice Italian Restaurant near Old Town called ABC. The ground-floor is just a coffeebar (with good cakes!), but on the top floor you will find a restaurant with good food (pizzas, pastas and more) for good prices with nice atmosphere and constantly playing music.
On the Croatian side of Mostar there is another nice Italian restaurant called pizzeria Roma. They have the best pizzas in Mostar and several other dishes, not only limited to the Italian cuisine (unless pancakes are typically Italian).
Around the Old Bridge you will find numerous restaurants where you can eat traditional Bosnian dishes, which means lots of meat, mostly of good quality. The mixed grill is a good choice since it offers you a bit of everything.
If you have money, restaurant Kriva Cuprija is another excellent choice. It is not very expensive, but for Mostar standard it costs quite a good some. They have good food, an amazing scenery, nice staff and fantastic local wine.
Coffee bars
Coffeebars can be found anywhere in Mostar, and the great thing is to just go and sit somewhere random and have a coffee. In most of them you'll have good quality drinks for decent prices. There are a few places that stand out though.
If you walk on the front line you'll spot a modern building with a neon sign "SIEMENS" on the roof. You may not think so, but on the top floor you'll find the coffee bar with the best view in the whole of Mostar. Just go up the elevator and be amazed. While drinking a good and inexpensive coffee you'll be enjoying a great panoramic view
Close to the Spanish Square against the big park is a coffee bar called Kariola. The atmosphere is pleasant with a lot of young people. They have fantastic hot chocolate and good coffee as well. You can sit outside and inside.
At Rondo you'll find coffee bar Rondo where you can also sit inside and outside. There is a lot of smoke inside, but the reason to go here is to grab the best hot chocolate in the world. You'll never want it anywhere else anymore.
Hidden behind some trees at Spanish Square you can find one of the most amazing coffee bars in Mostar. It is really simple and you should not expect a lot, but then you'll be definitely surprised. There is a good atmosphere and great drinks for low prices. Sitting outside on the benches is a treat since there is a lot of smoke inside. At any time during the day, you'll find old men drinking rakija or beer, each on a separate table but loudly talking to each other. It is great to watch and the bar is dubbed Old Men's by people from my school.
